The KNX technology
The KNX technology is consolidation itself by offering a wide range of products to many building applications, and it gets solid support from known and stable providers and manufacturers.
KNX is a continuation of the EIB (European Installation Bus) technology developed and marketed in the 1990’ies.
In the mid 90’ies Grue+Hornstrup implemented an installation at the headquarter for the former Nordthy Elforsyning where EIB was used to establish a fully intelligent lightning control system. For this specific project Grue & Hornstrup received the Yearly EIB Award at the Hannover Fair 2003, as an official recognition of being a good EIB technology foresight project. As in other situations, this shows that Grue+Hornstrup has been on the forefront from the beginning, and is therefore ready to provide KNX based solutions.
